“You need to put yourself towards the top because if you’re not filling your cup, if you’re not putting your oxygen mask on, there are long term consequences of that. Where your kids start to feel responsible for your emotional well being and for filling your cup as opposed to like being like, yeah, mom’s got it. She’s an example.”

“So that’s my big, big thing: please put yourself first. Fill your cup, find ways to relieve stress when you’re feeling stressed, find ways to have fun.”

“Why do I have to feel selfish for asking for help or for asking my husband to watch the kids? But like if he asked me, he doesn’t feel guilty or selfish at all, that’s not okay. And like that’s totally on us as women. Like we need to shift that mindset and like work on not feeling selfish.”
